Special requests? No problem!

What do guests look forward to the most in excellent hotels? Exactly – the breakfast buffet! At least that’s how I always feel. If, however, for whatever reason, you’re on a restricted diet, eating away from home can be much less fun. In my case this means a strict gluten-free diet, mixed with a commitment to vegan and vegetarian principles, and other minor details. Quite often, the only thing that’s left to eat in a restaurant is salad.

When it comes to my diet, I simply don’t like breaking my habits and would thus rather stay at home and cook my own “perfect dinner”. However, this is not always an option and then it is a matter of being creative when it comes to choosing the right food – for me, the waiter and the kitchen. I really don’t like to be the one who always needs a special meal, but that’s the way it is sometimes. I have noticed, however, that if you inform the kitchen beforehand they will be very grateful and go out of their way to prepare delicious meals, which of course makes me very happy.

What does all of this have to do with the Falkensteiner Stegersbach Balance Resort? For me as a guest, they offer a dining experience that addresses each of  these points.

I have been staying at this hotel for 10 years now and their culinary delights have always been a major highlight of my stay. Even though my diet has changed a lot over the last few years, this fact has never changed, because the resort has kept up with the times and has adapted to the nutritional movements of recent years at the highest level.

My last visit a few weeks ago was the first since the launch of the new culinary concept at this premium adults-only hotel. This concept allows guests with special dietary requests, diets, or intolerances to feast without compromise.

For example, the hotel offers the Metabolic Balance nutrition method specially for beginners and can even be booked in combination with a fitness programme. A great opportunity for a guided change of diet in a relaxed environment.

You can inform the hotel in advance or when you arrive about dietary requests or intolerances to allow them longer preparation time to ensure that you are always taken good care of. The kitchen and entire service team are ready to welcome you with accurate and detailed information about the options they have available for you.

The service team were really a great help when trying to make a selection from the menu and helped me put together the perfect menu.

The menu and buffet are both labelled clearly so that you can easily find what you are looking for. It was really a great experience to see the team during my most recent visit still eager to meet all my special requests just like my previous visits.

In fact, it was even better!
