Bruneck in winter: Fun and adventure for the whole family!

Winter has arrived and for families looking for adventures in the snow, there is no better place than Bruneck in the beautiful Pustertal Valley. Today we’ll show you how you can spend an unforgettable holiday full of action and fun – including a breathtaking mountain backdrop!

#1 The Falkensteiner Family Resort Lido itself

You could actually stop listing the cool attractions here. Because the Falkensteiner Family Resort Lido itself is a children’s paradise. With the ski slope on the roof, the Rooftop Sky Adventure Park with Valo Jump World, bobby car track and ice skating rink, the largest indoor water slide in South Tyrol with speed measurement, the family sauna and so much more, it’s a place you don’t really want to leave. The region still offers countless other attractions for families who still want to get away from it all.

#2 Exercise and fun at the children's ski park

Tobogganing, ice skating and tyre slides – in the ‘Ski Kinderpark Pfalzen’, little ski beginners are playfully introduced to their first turns in the snow. From December to the beginning of March, the park invites children to play and let off steam. From here, beautiful hiking trails lead directly into the winter wonderland. Then it’s a speedy ride back down the floodlit piste on a sledge or bobsleigh. And those who like to venture onto the ice can skate around the ice rink.

#3 ‘HuskysledDog’ tours in the Dolomites

There’s also an extra dose of action on a dog sled ride on the Würzjoch. Here in the Puez-Geisler Nature Park at an altitude of 2,000 metres, the Siberian huskies elegantly glide the sled through the snow – past cross-country skiers and hikers. Those looking for even more action can steer the sledge themselves through the cool winter air. The excursion is suitable for families with children aged three and over.

#4 Of horses, llamas and alpacas

The sight of trotting horses, the rhythmic sound of bells in your ears and a fresh winter breeze on your face – all this is part of a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride. Families can explore the most beautiful places in the area on a ride through San Vigilio Dolomites: Snow-covered winter landscapes, bizarre ice castles and frozen streams. At the Hinterwalderhof farm in Meransen, visitors are once again greeted by big Gustav and nimble Fritz. Discover the beautiful region on foot on a hike with the llamas and alpacas – the various trekking tours lead through the wintry forests and are suitable for all weathers.

#5 After the action, it gets cosy in Bruneck

After an exciting day full of activities, Bruneck offers the ideal backdrop for a relaxing evening. The picturesque small town acts as the geographical, cultural and economic centre of the Pustertal Valley and attracts visitors of all ages with its many sights, festivals and events. The castle of the same name and the many boutiques and cafés are definitely worth a visit.
