Daniel's favourite hiking route: Klafferkessel
The route of routes, the royal stage of the ‘Wild Waters’ waterways. This tour takes you to relicts from the Ice Age and hikes along alpine paths and across high alpine landscapes. At an altitude of around 2,300 metres, a lake plateau consisting of around 30 lakes of different sizes awaits you. This impressive landscape makes this tour one of the most beautiful hikes in the region.
But don’t forget a snack, because you have a long day ahead of you and between the Gollinghütte and the Preintalerhütte and Waldhornalm it takes 4 to 5.5 hours to walk.
Daniel’s personal tip: start early in the morning! This way you avoid the crowds, the summer heat and the landscape shines in a particularly magical light when the first rays of sunshine appear.

Daniel’s insider tip: Kochofen
What could be better than few hikers, a fantastic view and cake as a reward? The starting point is the Michaelerberghaus with a marvellous view over the Enns valley. From there, the route climbs steeply uphill on a track. Only a few flat sections interrupt the ascent, where you are always rewarded with a beautiful view of the Satteltal valley. At the crossroads below the Loskögerl, take the left path to the Kniepass. The trail now meanders gently along the forest hillsides. It then becomes a little steeper again. Through a trench and serpentines, you pass the edge of the forest and head up onto a rocky ridge made of Sölke marble to the summit cross. The descent is via the Loskögerl (a little steeper, but shorter) through the forest back to the track that leads back to the Michaelerberghaus. There you will have earned a delicious cake with a breathtaking panorama.

Sunrise Tour Krahbergzinken
Looking for a morning adventure? Then this tour is just right for you. It starts early in the morning. After an easy, leisurely ascent, you quickly reach the summit of the Krahbergzinken, Schladming’s hometown mountain. Once you reach the top, the magical spectacle begins as the sun slowly touches the horizon and bathes everything in warm colours. You’ll be back at the hotel in time for breakfast.
Alternatively, if you are more of a late riser, you can start in the evening and watch the sun disappear behind the mountains again.

Duisitzkarsee
Discover the most popular photo motif in Styria. Starting from the Eschachalm alpine pasture, you follow a beautifully laid out hiking trail through high forest and across two large clearings to the famous Duisitzkarsee. Enjoy an extended break where you can be enchanted by the beauty of the unspoilt nature before returning to the starting point.
Tip: On hot summer days, the lake is a wonderful place to cool off.

- Duration: approx. 2.5 hours
Children's paradise Planai - Hopsiland
Children’s hearts beat faster here! Hopsiland is a real playground paradise spread over several levels that will make children’s eyes light up. While the little ones romp and play, parents can sit back, relax and enjoy the marvellous view over the region.
And if your stomach starts to rumble after all that playing in the fresh mountain air, the Schafalm or the Schladminger Hütte are the perfect places to stop for a bite to eat.
Aim high on your bike!
Tour Ramsau
Starting from the hotel via Birnberg and Fliegenpilz, this tour takes you to picturesque Ramsau. From there you continue to the Brandlalm, where you can enjoy a cosy stop before the return section begins. This takes you via Pichl and the Enns cycle path directly to the hotel. You will always be accompanied by a fantastic panorama and views of the majestic Dachstein.
Tour Reiteralm
Starting from the hotel, you cycle on this tour through the Talbachklamm and Rohrmoos to Preuneggtal. From there, you cycle up to the Reiteralm, where a fantastic view over the Enns Valley and several refreshment stops await you. For the descent, you have the choice of either a leisurely ride along the forest path or a bold descent along the bike park’s flowline.

Tour Sonnenseiten
Starting from the hotel, this tour takes you first to Birnberg and then on to Ramsau Vorberg. On the way, you will pass numerous farms that are home to up to 10 different animal species. On the way back, you cycle along the Enns cycle path directly to the hotel door.
Tip: The low elevation gain and the variety of animals make this tour perfect for a family bike trip.
