Tee off on the most beautiful courses

If you love golf, you have a huge choice of golf courses and clubs all over the world. Often it is really not easy to decide where you want to make your next swing. In today’s article, we would like to introduce you to a selection of first-class courses surrounded by spectacular natural scenery.

72 hole Reiters Golf/ Stegersbach, Austria

From beginners to ambitious golfers – this course in southern Burgenland certainly makes golfers’ hearts beat faster. The 45-hole course offers different levels of difficulty. While the 18-hole Südburgenland course can be easily walked, the 18-hole Panorama course is better explored by a golf cart. No matter how you go – the magnificent view over the beautiful hilly terrain is unique on both courses!

Golf Club Villa Condulmer/ Jesolo, Italy

The best right away – on this golf course you can play golf 365 days a year due to the mild climate! Elegance, tradition, and passion meet 60 hectares of parkland with eighteenth-century trees. The course itself is rather easy to play but has a few tricky bunkers to offer.

Golfclub Velden-Köstenberg/ Velden, Austria

Member of the “Leading Golf Courses” and certainly one of the most well-kept courses in Austria. The 18 hole golf course offers challenging holes for all levels. And: Hole 1 has even been chosen several times as the most beautiful golf hole in Europe.

If you feel like a round of swimming after your round of golf, it only takes 10 minutes by car to get to what is probably the most beautiful lake in Austria, Lake Wörthersee.

Golf & Country Club Dachstein Tauern/ Haus, Austria

In beautiful Styria, you will find the next member of the “Leading Golf Courses”. It is rare to find such a beautiful alpine golf course, the Dachstein massif is omnipresent. The large bunkers of white quartz sand are more reminiscent of Florida than the Alps and Bernhard Langer, which has created a really cool championship course.

Golfclub Mühlviertel St. Oswald – Freistadt/ St. Oswald, Austria

Only about 20 minutes from Linz, this course is harmoniously nestled in the countryside around St. Oswald. The hilly landscape of the Mühlviertel offers fast greens, water hazards, and varied fairways. All 18 holes are suitable for beginners as well as for ambitious players.

Tanka Golf & Country Club/ Villasimius, Italy

Sardinia has not only beautiful beaches but also great golf courses. The very challenging 18 hole course in the south of the island offers spectacular views of the Capo Carbonara marine reserve. Due to the many elevation changes and the vastness of the course (40 ha), a golf cart is recommended.

Nassfeld Golf/ Jenig, Austria

This 18-hole championship course is located in the middle of Carinthia’s natural arena. Lush greens, extensive pond landscapes, and a Mediterranean climate guarantee a dreamlike day of golf in the Gail Valley. Whether you are a passionate golfer or a newcomer – the joy of the game will be even greater with the beautiful landscape.

Golf Club Pustertal/ Bruneck, South Tyrol

Golfing at the foot of the Kronplatz. Where skiing enthusiasts jet down the South Tyrolean mountains in winter, you can play the 9-hole Open Country Course during the warmer months. The course was carefully designed by golf architects Alvise Rossi Fioravanti and Baldovino Dassù, both multiple European Tour event winners, to fit into the beautiful landscape, partly in the woods, partly in open terrain, and around a wetland.

Golf Club Sokolov/ Dolní Rychnov, Czech Republic

Golf has been established around the spa town of Mariánské Lázn? very early. Already at the beginning of the 20th century, the first golf courses were built. The 18-hole golf course is situated not far from the German border in the area of a former brown coal open-cast mine, embedded in a slightly hilly landscape. Due to the region’s favorable climate, one can also enjoy a relatively long golf season here.

Where do you want to make your next swing? If you can’t decide which course is the right one for you, we recommend the Falkensteiner Golf Cup, which will go on tour for the fourth time this year and will be a guest on all 9 courses presented. We wish you a nice game and a great golf season in 2021!
